Scoping for Pictures and Spring is here!

So a couple of days ago, i went with a few of my buddys driving around breck looking for some spots to get a few shots on. We drove through some pretty rad places, super old towns with saloons and all. Didn't find to much to hit, but we did find a face of a hill that looked like a good spot to build a big back country booter. Hopefully go back soon next sunny day which won't be too far away as its spring time!
Il chuck some pictures up of our next trip when i get the chance.

3rd in Aspen.

Well I just got back from our super fun 2 day treck to Aspen. We had to get up at 4 and leave Breck so we would make it in time for practice. It was a rad experience getting to ride the 22ft X games pipe and it was a big change from the 18ft. I got 3rd which I'm really happy about, a good way to end in what i think might be my last comp of the season. From now on it's just training as per usual. Planning a trip back to Woodward on Wednesday so hopefully get some new tricks whilst i'm over there. I will try and get some of the photos from the trip up as soon as possible so until then...

Rocky Mountain Snowboard Series

So i just got back from the 2 day trip of Copper Mt where the USASA Rocky Mountain Snowboard Series was being held. First day was slope and because of my injury, i hadn't been training jumps so i took some shots of the boys for my school photography class..

Second day was halfpipe and i was pretty fine to ride, the well cut walls helped the impact a lot. Again, because of my back i wasn't able to throw down many tricks but still placed 5th, stoked on my result.

Next weekend i will be heading to Aspen to do another 2 day trip of the last stop of the series. Il keep you posted but in the mean time here are some pictures of the day..

Further Movements

Well this week has been quiet, but pretty progressive.. Still so shitty that i still can't jump but i have been focusing a lot on halfpipe the past few days. Going faster and bigger was my goal before i start throwing down. I have my first competition on the weekend so we are training at Copper Mt to prepare for the pipe.
Il let you know how it goes.

Oh! and one other thing... sorry about no vid posts recently. my stupid headphones decided to detach itself leaving the metal end stuck in my computer headphone input and it isn't coming out. Luckily i already had a new computer on the way and it should arrive on monday...hopefully

Woodward at Copper

So I'm still in a bit of pain, my wrist is slowly getting better but my lower back is still giving me a bit of trouble on impact. Have been riding 2 days in a row now and i can feel it getting better every run. Should be good to start jumping in the next few days and we have a day off tomorrow which will be good for it.

Woodward this arvo was rad fun, Practicing back rodeo 5's and 7's and hopefully take them to the snow some time near the end of this week.

2nd edit is in progress and will be up and running on the blog asap.
Keep on the look out..

Arriving in Breck

Well I have had a crazy few days since leaving Melbourne Airport. I met some fellow campers at the Tullamarine and we were all stoked to head over to Colorado for 9 weeks. We said good by to our emotional mums and headed for the gate. We didn't have to wait that long for our flight to Sydney which was good and before we knew it, we were waiting for out plane to LAX. As our boredom kicked in, we decided to start filming. The flight from Sydney to LA was rad. We sat right in front of the big screen watching movies until our eyes would open anymore. I had Jack on my left and a spare on my right which gave me some needed extra space. Arriving in LA was a disaster.. Me being the vague 15 year old I am, as we started to line up in the customs line, I realized I had left all my documents and passport in the pocket on the seat on front. Franticly I ran back but was stopped by curious airport security guards wanting to know why I was going back. Finally they allowed me to get back on and I grabbed my stuff and sprinted back. As we got out of customs we had to run to our gate as our plane started boarding before we even landed and of course, we missed it. It took another 5 planes and 10 1/2 hours to finally lock our selves a seat on the 8 30pm flight to denver. When we landed in denver is was a huge relief and our coach Stav was there to greet us with out bags that had arrive several hours earlier. We headed to the motel where we had planned to stat for the night and were all asleep by 3 30am.

Our alarms buzzed for 5 10am and we got ready for our first comp of the season. It was a 2 hour drive to the comp and we had power bars to keep us going. When we arrived in Winter Park, the visibility was just as bad as our wait in LA. Whilst Bucketing down with snow and freezing out tits off, we started to train on the course. I had a couple of safety runs first off and felt pretty good, as I was told to take it easy because I had less than 2 hours of sleep and it was my first day on snow for 6 months. I thought i would be sweet so I headed for the 70ft jump at the end. I straight lined it from 2 jumps up and was told to not speed check as the snowy conditions made the run in really slow and you do not want to land on the flat of a jump like that. Turns out I went way to fast, I cleared the landing and went 90ft to flat. I got pretty banged up...My wrist, hip and back were all killing and I had to sit out for the comp. I sat out for the comp the next day and now its Monday and I'm having one more day off to rest up.

Here is an edit from the flight over.
